"404 not found." This means the page you're looking for isn't there. Oops! Please email us the address of the page containing the link you followed, as well as the URL itself. If you receive this message repeatedly throughout the site, there's a computer problem on our end. Please bear with us.

"There was no response. The server could be down or is not responding." Typically, this is a temporary problem on our server or your dial-up ISP server, or somewhere in between. You don't need to report this error unless it occurs repeatedly over an extended period of time, or in only one section of the site.

"Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error ..." This means there's a problem with our server. Please bear with us.

WebTV Problems

Send us an email describing the error messages you're receiving, and indicate precisely where on the site you're receiving them. Some parts of Astra.kit.net may not be accessible to WebTV users, and we'd like to minimize this as much as possible. Please bear with us.

Check out WebTV's compatibility . (You'll see, for instance, that WebTV is not compatible with most versions of Flash.)

System Requirements

Current system requirements include a Java/JavaScript-enabled browser (such as Netscape Navigator 4+, Netscape Communicator, Internet Explorer 4+, AOL 4+), with the Java/JavaScript options turned ON in Preferences/Options.

If you're using Internet Explorer (or AOL), be sure your browser Preferences/Options allow you to auto-install ActiveX components. Look under Prefs | Security | Active Content, and make certain all the boxes are checked ON.

Some Astra content requires the latest free versions of Macromedia, and plugins/programs such as Shockwave and Flash.

And of course, the faster your computer and connection are, the more you'll enjoy Astra.kit.net! A good minimum system would include a 120MHz+ Pentium (or PowerPC) with 32MB+ RAM, 800x600 screen resolution with thousands of colors, Win98 (or MacOS 8+) and a 56k+ modem.
